That was one of the most shocking things that I found when I came to China.
Later I learned that chinese people eat everything with legs but tables and everything with wings but plains.
In my country (Venezuela) people eat brains, liver, heart, tongue, intestines, from cows. The same with some parts of the chicken, but never the head or the claws, those go to waste. The aborigine people in my country eat tarantulas, monkeys, big ants, caterpillars and stuff like that, actually my dad had once at home an spicy sauce made of ants by the amazonian aborigines. So even when I've never dared to taste any of this stuff it wasn't that hard for me.
But, I almost faint when I saw people eat chicken embryos.

that was beyond my conception of what is eatable.
Once in a restaurant the waitress in a mistake brought toad instead of chicken, I decided to give it a shot and it wasn't that bad actually it was a very soft and tasty meat. Once in a wedding I tried the little turtle soup, it was like chicken soup, but the chef left the turtle shell in each plate and I couldn't take more than one spoon, then I tried the little pigeon meat, but it was to dry and weird for my taste so after a couple of gags I spent the wedding drinking orange juice.
