Hello guys,

My name is Katie now a college student and also a part time chinese tutor. I have been tutoring for a few years and I really enjoy help foreigners to speak this language.

I am a local Nanjing girl and I used to study in United States as exchange student. The best thing that i learnt from America is "Volunteering". Helping people indeed brings me a great deal of pleasure. That is why I want to volunteer to teach chinese on the weekends without chadrgeing people money.I want to help thoese who are interested and willing to make effort.

I have asked some of my friends about my idea. They all have different oppinions. I am not sure which group of people should be targeted. I would love to bring students as well as those who are working here. I want to offer good opportunities for those who haven't got a tutor.

I will give classes both on saturdays and sundays. Saturday will be for beginners and sunday will be for advanced level.Each class will be one hour and a half inluding ten minutes break.

About the location,I have asked some of the stuff in Nanjing Normal university to get a classroom. If not,i will do it at my home,my home is a bit far near Ikea,might not be easy for people to travel.

I have had this idea for a long time. I have passion in teaching and communicaitng with people who come from different part of the world to get together and learn mandarin. I am sure it will be a lot of fun. However, I am also very strict,because I need to see how everyone improves. The improvement of my students is the best gift to me.

The class will start next weekend on the 28th.
